BLOOMSBURG-- The IWLCA has recognized the Bloomsburg University lacrosse team as one of six schools to earn Academic Squad honors by the organization for the 2010 season.

To qualify as an Academic Squad by the IWLCA a team needed to have a GPA of 3.0 or better.
The Huskies were one of just three PSAC schools to earn the Academic squad honor joining Mercyhurst and West Chester.

"This is a great accomplishment for the team., " said coach Leah Carr. "The women worked extremely hard this past season in the classroom as well on the athletic field."

Individually Kim Springman (Downingtown, Bishop Shanahan) and Rebecca Belmonte (Seaford, NY, Plainedge) were named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.
