Final Results
WEST CHESTER—The Bloomsburg University men’s and women’s track & field teams wrapped up the 2010 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Farrell Stadium on the campus of West Chester University on Saturday.
The men’s team received three points from freshman
Jason LaForme (Muncy, Hughesville), who placed sixth in the javelin with a toss of 184-10.
Matthew Stuck (Milton, Milton), another freshman, also scored for the Huskies, clearing 13-10.50 in the pole vault. His height tied for seventh, receiving 1.50 points.
Michael Hookham (Middlesex, NJ, Middlesex) also competed for Bloomsburg on Saturday, running a 10:07.30 in the 3000 meter steeplechase. The men’s 4x400 relay team of
Andrew Anderson (Toms River, NJ, Toms River North),
John Barnett (Chester Springs, Downingtown East),
Bryan Hennessey (Lower Gwynedd, Pennridge) and
Abu Siddique (Lansdale, North Penn) crossed the line with a time of 3:23.52.
On the women’s side,
Valerie Homer (East Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg South) bettered her 100 meter prelim time on Friday of 12.87 with a 12.80, good for fourth overall and five points.
Katie Filemyr (Willow Grove, Bishop McDevitt) added to the Huskies total with a seventh place finish in the 3000 steeplechase, coming across the line in 11:51.31, earning two points.
The 4x400 relay team of
Kaila Hassler (Schnecksville, Parkland), Homer,
Erin Hanosek (Macungie, Emmaus) and
Brielle Stefanelli (Montvale, NJ, Pascack Hills) came within 3.11 seconds of scoring, finishing with a time of 4:06.00, good for ninth overall. The Huskies had a trio of runners in the 3000, as
Kaitlyn Meck (Dillsburg, Northern )finished in 10:25.16,
Angela Borealo (Easton, Easton) finished with a time of 10:41.23 and
Samantha Matthews (Windsor, Glenelg) crossed with a time of 11:01.53.
Ashley Mancil (Bloomsburg, Bloomsburg) rounds out the rest of the women’s side, as she placed 12th in the pole vault with a height of 10-04.75.
The Huskies end their season as the men finished in 12th place overall with 4.50 points and the women finished 14th with seven total points.
