WEST CHESTER – The Bloomsburg University men’s and women’s track & field teams have wrapped up day two at the 2010 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Farrell Stadium on the campus of West Chester University.
On Thursday evening,
Misha Litvinov (Drums, Hazleton) started it for the Huskies as he finished 12th overall in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 32:34.07. The men’s decathlon, which wrapped up on Friday, saw freshman
Stephen Grib (Vernon, NJ, Vernon) place 10th overall with 4912 points.
Litvinov also competed in the 5,000 on Friday, running a 16:11.12. Teammate
Bobby Furman (Broomall, Marple Newtown) finished ninth in the same event, running a 15:33.74, less than 10 seconds away from scoring.
Andrew Anderson (Toms River, NJ, Toms River North), another freshman, turned in a time of 49.94 in the 400 while classmate
John Barnett (Chester Springs, Downingtown East) finished the 400 hurdles in 56.31.
Jared Arnold (Philadelphia, Engineering & Science) and
Justin Woerth (Christiana, Solanco) each ran the 800, finishing 10th and 12th with times of 1:55.26 and 1:55.36, respectively.
On the women’s side, freshman
Valerie Homer (East Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg South) was the top performer, coming in fifth in the prelims of the 100 with a time of 12.87, just .38 behind the top time. The finals will be run tomorrow afternoon.
Kaitlyn Meck (Dillsburg, Northern ) and
Angela Borealo (Easton, Easton) placed 10th and 12th in the 5000, turning in times of 18:17.05 and 18:43.74, respectively. Other women to compete were
Victoria Davis (Schuylkill, Schuylkill Haven) in the 800, finishing with a time of 2:28.18;
Kaila Hassler (Schnecksville, Parkland) in the 100, turning in a time of 13.32;
Brielle Stefanelli (Montvale, NJ, Pascack Hills), posting a time of 59.77 in the 400; and
Alilia Anderson (Glenside, Cheltenham), who had a long jump distance of 15’ 11.50” (4.86m).
Day three will continue on Saturday with the field events set to start at 11:00 a.m.
