BLOOMSBURG—Bloomsburg University men’s tennis players
Fernando Perez (Center Valley, Southern Lehigh)and
Ricky Dove (Port Matilda, State College Area) have been named All-PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) for the 2010 season.
Perez, a junior, earned his third straight All-PSAC singles selection. Seeing playing time at both number one and two singles, Perez has a record of 14-6, including 6-4 at number one. Among his wins this season was a three-set victory at number two singles in the Huskies match with Division I Penn State.
Dove, a sophomore, earns his first All-PSAC selection. Also playing at number one and two singles Dove posted a record of 17-10 on the season, including a 6-2 record at the top of the lineup. Twice during the season he was named the PSAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week. On April 11 he earned the award after going a combined 6-1 between singles and doubles with his only loss coming to Penn State. On April 5 he earned the honor after going a combined 4-0 in two matches for the Huskies.
Bloomsburg, 11-8, is awaiting word on a bid to the NCAA championships.
