BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women’s track team took part in the Maroon and Gold Invitational on Saturday with several turning in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship qualifying times.
In the 400-meter dash Brielle Stefanelli (Montvale, NJ, Pascack Hills) posted a PSAC-qualifying time of 1:00.54, while in the 100-meter dash Valerie Homer (East Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg South) ran a 12.98.
In the 1500 meter race, Kaitlyn Meck (Dillsburg, Northern ) and Angela Borealo (Easton, Easton) both posted PSAC-qualifying times with Meck running 4:52.55 and Borealo a 4:54.78.
In the steeplechase, Katie Filemyr (Willow Grove, Bishop McDevitt) ran a time of 11:37.64 to earn a spot in the PSAC championships. At 3000 meters Borealo ran a 10:47.44, while Samantha Matthews (Windsor, Glenelg) ran a 10:47.51.
The Huskies next compete on Saturday, May 8.
